Fire in IHK university damages biotechnology department

Thursday, July 05, 2012 - Srinagar—In occupied Kashmir, computer lab and other property of the University of Kashmir (KU) were damaged, today, after fire broke out in the Biotechnology department. The fire was brought under control before it could spread to other departments, spokesman of the fire headquarter said.

Official sources said 15 computers; lab, furniture and roof of the department besides other equipments were damaged in the fire. The cause of fire was not known, they said adding no one was injured.—Online
