Crackdown against encroachers starts


Saturday, June 30, 2012 - Hafizabad—After publication of news in the national press, the Administrator TMA has announced to launch crackdowns on the encroachers and warned that no leniency would be shown against those who illegally occupied the roads. He also directed the Traffic police to remove unauthorized rickshaw stands near railway gate and other places to ensure smooth flow of traffic. He also directed the tea stall and restaurant owners to keep their premises neat and clean and also serve hygienic and standard meals. He also directed the concerned officials to take samples of substandard food being served at the restaurants. He also appealed to the shopkeepers to remove encroachments in front of their shops to save them from punitive action.

Meanwhile addressing monthly meeting of District Price Committee its chairman has assured to protect the rights of consumers and would take stern action against the shopkeepers who are fleecing them. He said it is moral and religious duties of shopkeepers to provide essential articles to the consumers.
