WASA directed to ensure clean drinking water

Saturday, June 30, 2012 - Lahore—Managing Director of Water and Sanitation Agency (WASA) Mian Abdullah has directed operational staff to use all available resources to ensure the provision of clean drinking water in city.

The MD, during a visit to the WASA laboratory after public complaints about the supply of contaminated water on Friday, ordered the director and executive engineer Nishtar Town to ensure regular cleanliness, flushing and chlorination of supply lines. Later, he inspected various sections of the laboratory and reviewed the process of water analysis. He directed the WASA chemist to take immediate action on complaints of contaminated water supply.—APP
