Khawaja Umer Farooq

Monday, June 25, 2012 - Recent reelection of Prime Minister proves that government and its allies parties have very few respect for court of law. Recent nomination of two candidates for Prime Minister reelection is astonishing for everyone in Pakistan. Unfortunately after recent supreme court decision and disqualification of Prime Minster ,government could not set any example and just following footsteps of former Prime Minister.

President and his allies parties jointly approved name of these candidate. Unfortunately both nominees are facing serious allegation of corruption and investigations are still going on against them. Same day court issued arrest warrant of Makdoom Shahab Uddin when he was trying to submit his nomination papers for Prime Minister post. After his arrest order government withdrew his nomination and nominated Raja Pervez Ashraf who is also involved in serious irregularities in power rental companies agreements. Only month ago supreme court had advised action against him.
