Residents protest against water shortage
Residents of sectors G-9, G-10, I-8, I-9, I-10 and Satellite Town have posed a strong protest against shortage of water supply and the receiving of money by the CDA and WASA in order to get tanker of water at resident’s doorstep.
“ Even we pay huge taxes but we have to pay money for one tanker to get it to the doorstep when there is shortage of water, it is absolutely unfairness with the taxpayers”, Farrukh Abbas said.
“ Even after the registration of complains we are not responded timely by the CDA”, Asif Khan said.
“The residents of twin cities have been facing severe water shortage in summers since last many years and despite tall claims by the authorities and successive governments, no new dam has been constructed yet”, Nafees Abbasi said.
The residents appealed to the concerned authorities to take notice of the situation and to issue directives in this regard.—Online
