Siddiqui assumes charge of MD and CEO OGDCL

Wednesday, June 20, 2012 - Islamabad—Masood Siddiqui has assumed the charge of MD/CEO of OGDCL while Mr. Basharat A. Mirza relinquished the charge of the post today. Prime Minister Syed Yousuf Raza Gillani has appointed Masood Siddiqui as MD/CEO OGDCL few days back, who has a vast experience of more than 25 years in the field of Exploration & Production Sector of Hydrocarbon resources in Pakistan.

Just after taking the charge Mr. Siddiqui called an introductory meeting of all Heads of the Departments (HODs) here today for a short briefing. All senior executives welcomed Mr. Masood Siddiqui at OGDCL House, Islamabad in a befitting manner. While talking to the OGDCL Officers, he said that OGDCL would move forward upholding high standard of professionalism based on merit and integrity. He added that he has accepted this high profile responsibility in the larger interest of the Company and E&P sector of Pakistan. He reiterated that OGDCL would make strenuous efforts to achieve the set goals of exploration & Production of hydrocarbon resources to meet the energy requirement of the country. He gave a clear and loud message to the employees to concentrate on their duties more consciously and carefully.

Mr. Siddiqui said that OGDCL being the largest E&P Company in Pakistan has the responsibility towards enhancement of oil & gas production in Pakistan in order to minimize the shortages of energy in the country. He desired that professionals of the company should perform their responsibilities with hard work and dedication in a transparent manner. He assured that upright and fair employees will be acknowledged for their achievements and services.
