Commuters face problems at Ravi checkpost

Wednesday, June 20, 2012 - Lahore—Commuters face problems in the name of security at the Ravi toll plaza checkpost.

Thousands of people enter the capital city daily to earn their livelihood and for other purposes but they have to wait for hours at the checkpost. Police take too much time to check vehicles and there is always a long line of traffic at the toll plaza. Even ambulances are stuck up in the long queue of vehicles.

Sohail, a government employee, said he was often late at office due to the mess at the toll plaza. Sana Noor, a student at LCWU, said the police checking had added to the misery of passengers.

Government employees, students and other passengers appealed to authorities to take security measures but do not waste their time.—APP
