Operation launched against token tax defaulters

Wednesday, June 20, 2012 - Rawalpindi—Excise and taxation department has launched operation against defaulters of token tax in Rawalpindi. Some 160 cars were impounded and 350 were issued tickets in the grand operation.

6 squads took part in the checking under the supervision of ETO Waqar Kiyani.

Squads compromising of inspector Malik Maskeen, Chaudhary Ijaz, Mirza Khalid, Chaudhry Nadeem, Rasheed Dogar, Zahid Saddiqui took part in the drive against defaulters in different parts of the city and impounded 160 vehicles having 14 lacs in arrears as a token tax.The impounded cars included hiace, cars, dumpers and other vehicles.—Online
