He also emphasized for brand development of Made is SAARC products while stating that it would come through persistence, quality control, and constant market hammering that our products are good and better than the rest. We are the base of production for major world brands, but yet unable to get the same prices internationally for parallel sometimes identical products.
Earlier Iqbal Tabish, Secretary General, SAARC CCI is his keynote address said that the region had great potential, which remains untapped due to poor marketing strategies and non-availability of proper information about buyers and sellers in the region, due to which direction of South Asia was towards the rest of World instead of within South Asia. He emphasized for establishment of Joint Ventures in the mutually interested areas between countries of South Asia stating that it would not only increase stake of each other countries in the region but also create surplus production and ability to produce goods at competitive prices.
