Staff ReporterWednesday, April 18, 2012 - Peshawar—Khyber Medical University (KMU), Peshawar announced MBBS third Professional annual examinations 2011 results, showing a pass percentage of 53. A total of 895 students of nine public and private sector medical colleges of the province appeared in the exam of whom 477 declared successful.
According to a gazette notification issued by Examination Section of the University Saeed Ali of Khyber Medical College Peshawar secured 479 marks and stood first in the overall results. Waqar Zafar and Sabah Safdar of Ayub Medical College secured 467 and 450 marks and got second and third positions respectively.
In the MBBS third professional annual examination 2011 the passing ratio of Khyber Medical College Peshawar was 74%, while that of Ayub Medical College Abbottabad 53%, Gomal Medical College D.I.Khan 68%, Khyber Girls Medical College Peshawar 63%, Saidu Medical College Swat 51%, KMU Institute of Medical Sciences Kohat 46%, Bannu Medical College Bannu 41%, Women Medical College Abbotabad 35% and Abbotabad International Medical College Abbotabad 07 percent.
Vice Chancellor KMU Prof. Dr. Mohammad Hafiz Ullah congratulated the successful students and wished that they will also continue their efforts for obtaining brilliant results in the upcoming examinations. He also appreciated the efforts carried out by the Examination Section of the University for ensuring standardization, transparency and introducing modern techniques of evaluation.
