Govt employees to get enhanced amount for conveyance

Thursday, December 29, 2011 - Islamabad—Federal government has increased advance amount for the government employees enabling them to purchase a car or a motor cycle, besides enhancing conveyance allowance for the employees serving in BPS-1 to BPS-4.

According to a notification issued by the ministry of Finance, the advance amount for purchase of car was increased from existing Rs1,50,000 to Rs4,50,000 for the employees in BPS-17 and above whereas, the government servants serving in BPS-1 to BPS-16 would be able to get advance amount of Rs75,000 instead Rs60,000 to afford a new bike under the revised sanctioned formula.

The government servants in BPS-1 to BPS-4 would also get an advance amount of Rs7,000 to purchase a bicycle.

The conveyance allowance for the same cadre servants was up by Rs11,500 from the existing rate of Rs8,500 per month.

The federal government also upgraded posts of private secretaries, steno-typists and stenographers.—INP
