One month bonus for postal employees on Eid

Sunday, August 21, 2011 - Islamabad—Federal Minister for Postal Services Sardar Muhammad Umar Gorgage has announced one month bonus for the employees of Pakistan Post on the eve of Eid.

Addressing an Iftar dinner arranged by Postal Headquarters Employees Union (CBA) here at Head office, the minister said that in order to facilitate employees with accommodation, 3000 plots would be given in Karachi and similar scheme would be launched in Islamabad.

He said that the services of daily wages and contract employees would be regularized adding that Pakistan People’s Party (PPP) government is following the vision of Benazir Bhutto Shaheed. Peoples Labour Bureau Chairman Ch. Manzoor said Pakistan Post is one of the important organizations and the employees are working on meagre salaries.

He said that the employees of Pakistan Post are working in all kinds of si

tuations to facilitate the public. He said that the problems of Pakistan Post employees are genuine and they should be resolved through dialogue. Ch. Manzoor stressed on Postal Management to hold dialogue with CBA for resolving these issues. He said that the management should restore the Postal Employees job quota.

Parliamentary Secretary for Postal Services, Ramesh Lal, MNA Anjum Aqeel Khan, Secretary Postal Services Raja Ikram ul Haq, Tahzeeb ul Hasan Shah President NOP, CBA, Postal Employees Union General Secretary Ch. Mohazim Ali Zahid, Additional Director General (Operation) Pakistan Post Fazli Sattar Khan and a large numbers of Postal employees also attended the Iftar dinner.
