Karachi—Deputy Mayor Karachi Dr. Arshad Vohra said KMC and DMC made better arrangements for main procession of Chehlum of Hazrat Imam Hussain (R.A).
The municipal services department, fire brigade, rescue unit ambulance service 1122 remained alert on this occasion, a statement Monday quoted Vohra.
Doctor and paramedic staff was available in hospitals to deal with any untoward situation and due to the joint efforts of all these organizations Chehlum procession was largely peaceful and the Azadars had not faced any trouble.
He said this on a visit of Nishter Park to inspect the arrangements made for Chehlum procession.
He also went to the camps of various organizations and met with zakirin and ulema.
