Dar urges business community to pay taxes honestly

Islamabad—The Finance Minister Ishaq Dar, Monday, said that improving Ease of Doing Business was the priority of the government and Federal Board of Revenue (FBR) had also been instructed to facilitate the business community.
In a meeting with former representatives of Lahore Chamber of Commerce and Industry, here Finance Minister also urged the business representatives to fulfil their responsibility of paying taxes honestly and play a constructive role in the national development. He observed that the government was sincere in solving the problems of the business community.
The former presidents gave a detailed briefing to the Finance Minister on the problems being faced by the business and traders community in the country and also gave their opinion about how these could be resolved. The trade representatives thanked the Finance Minister for his time and personal interest in the problems of the business community and invited him to visit the Lahore Chamber. The meeting was attended by Chairman FBR, senior members of the FBR team and senior officials of the Finance Ministry.
