Shahbaz, Ahsan discuss progress of public welfare projects
Lahore—Punjab Chief Minister has said that China Pakistan Economic Corridor has opened the doors of foreign investment in Pakistan and so vast job opportunities are being created as a result of Chinese investment of billions of dollars in the country.
The Chief Minister said this while talking to Federal Minister for Planning and Development Ahsan Iqbal during a meeting on Saturday. They discussed progress of public welfare projects especially CPEC.
Shahbaz Sharif said that CPEC is a game-changer, as it will change the destiny of the region and, therefore, the development projects under CPEC are being completed speedily throughout the country.
He said that China was making a historic investment of 46 billion dollars in Pakistan, adding that Chinese investment will not be limited to only 46 billion dollars but more investment will be made.
He further said that China Pakistan Economic Corridor will play an important role in elimination of terrorism and poverty alleviation in the region.
The Chinese investment of 46 billion dollars in Pakistan, he said, was a proof of confidence in the leadership and policies of Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif.
He said that work was being carried out vigorously on CPEC projects throughout the country speed, standard and transparency are the hallmark of these projects. Shahbaz Sharif said that implementation of CPEC has ushered in a new era of friendship and cooperation between China and Pakistan.
He said that economic cooperation between China and Pakistan will leave a positive impact on the entire region as people of different countries including Pakistan will benefit from CPEC projects.
