Collective efforts needed to move country forward: CM

Punjab Chief Minister Muhammad Shehbaz Sharif has said that collective efforts are required to make the country move on the road of development and prosperity and added that one can move ahead by following the golden principles of hard work, honesty and merit.
That is why, Punjab government has fully implemented merit and transparency at every level and it has promoted merit based system in the province. Meanwhile, resources worth billions of rupees have been saved by following the policy of transparency.
He was talking to different delegations in London, on Wednesday. The Chief Minister Shehbaz Sharif said that resources are trust of the people and every penny is being spent for providing basic necessities to the masses.
He said that transparency, merit, quality and speed are conspicuous hallmarks of the Punjab government and our development projects are an example of their own with regard to the quality of work. The completion of development projects in a record period of time during the tenure of Pakistan Muslim League-N has no resemblance in the history of the country.
The Chief Minister said the government is following a comprehensive program for the development and prosperity of the people and revolutionary steps have been adopted for the development of health, education, agriculture and other sectors.
The government is working on a mega project of providing clean drinking water to the people. Public service is the core objective and no stone will be left unturned to achieve this purpose. He said work is being done speedily to secure the future of the country and concluded that he will continue to serve the masses till his last breathe.
