COAS agreed to help hold transparent elections in 2018: Imran Khan

Islamabad: Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) cheif Imran Khan recently said COAS General Qamar Javed Bajwa has consented to help hold free and reasonable decisions in 2018.

“I met Gen Bajwa as of late and let him know plainly that we won’t permit 2013-like surveys [to be held] in [the] future,” Mr Khan said in a meeting with a private TV channel.

The PTI leader went ahead to claim that the armed COAS had guaranteed to assume his due part in directing straightforward elections in the nation. “He said we as an organization have faith in free and reasonable races,” Imran cited Gen Bajwa as saying.

“In any case, I told them that majority rule government was not about holding decisions but rather [about] leading reasonable and straightforward races,” he included.
