Closing ceremony of FMH Annual Infection Control Week held

Lahore—The closing ceremony of the FMH Annual Infection Control Week was held at General Attique-ur-Rehman Auditorium of Fatima Memorial Hospital. The closing ceremony was the culmination of the week which was held to increase awareness of the infection control measures that need to be taken within the institution.
The three day week consisted of Standard Precautions Day, Waste Management Day & Hazard Safety Day; teams were sent out each day across the hospital to train and reinforce infection control measures that need to be taken to provide an infection free environment for improved patient care. The teams also took feedback from all departments of the hospital to assess current practices and further improve on them. Speaking about the infection control week Dr. Shahzad Naseem – Infection Control officer of Fatima Memorial Hospital said “Infection Control is an integral part of any healthcare setting and we at Fatima Memorial Hospital are consistently working on ensuring an infection free environment. We strive to provide the very best to our patients and this is an exercise taken for all our staff to improve the level of care offered. We have successfully conducted Infection Control Week three years in a row and each year we are heartened by an overwhelmingly positive response by our hospital staff.
