Charith Senanayake appointed A team manager for Windies tour

Sri Lankan Cricket (board) will hire the services of former opening batsman Charith Senanayake.
The 55-year-old left-handed batsman will be thge manager of Sri Lanka A team, which will tour West Indies next month.
According to the highly placed sources in Sri Lanka, Charith Senanayake, who has also managed the senior national team was approached for the post and he has agreed to this assignment.
Senanayake, who played 3 Tests and seven ODIs, has also served the board as an executive in the marketing division.
The Sri lanka A team will tour West Indies from October 11 to November 6. During this 25-day tour, the A team will play 3 four day games and three one dayers.
The last 4-day game will be played with the pink ball.
The squad is yet to be announced.
