Punjab Finance Minister Dr Ayesha Ghous Pasha on Thursday said that unity among all stakholders and provinces was vital to benefit fully from China-Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC).
She said that after a long period of hardwork, Punjab has a stable economy and is ready for take-off to touch heights of prosperity.
She was addressing the 14th CEO Summit Asia 2017 and the book launch of 100 performing CEOs, leaders and companies of Pakistan, held at a local hotel on Thursday.
The theme of the event was “Reshaping the Future: Build Greater Pakistan”, which was addressed by Punjab Governor Malik Muhammad Rafique Rajwana, Federal Minister for Planning, Development and Reforms Ahsan Iqbal. Hundreds of CEOs, business leaders from Pakistan and around the region participated in the event.
She said that with better security situation, the best infrastructure and skilled labour force, Punjab was moving towards development at a fast pace.
“The Punjab government is following a comprehensive policy and planned framework due to which growth rate is increasing and poverty is decreasing, thousands of skilled youth are getting space in the international labour market, corruption is on decline through E-governance,” she added.
Addressing some of the key issues of the economy, the provincial finance minister said that the government was striving to overcome all challenges and aiming to promote local industries.—APP
