Attique calls for army takeover of electoral administration

AJK electioneering

Kotli/Pallanderi—Ex-Prime Minister of Azad Kashmir Sardar Attique Ahmed Khan who is also President of Muslim Conference has said that holding of general election is a difficult process and called for deployment of armed forces to take over polls administration in the liberated region.
Calling for enforcement of presidential system he pointed that no one can fight elections under the present dispensation unless he/she has Rs.4 crore in the kitty. He predicted that MC-PTI alliance would form the post elections government in AJK.
But at the same time Sardar Attique Ahmed Khan said that he does not see general elections taking place on July 21, 2016. This is my prediction and quoted many other prediction that later proved true.
He said that Muslim Conference was the ideological backbone of Kashmir and Kashmir politics.Minus Muslim Conference the whole history of Jammu and Kashmir struggle for freedom loses its significance and right direction. Only governance is not sufficient in Azad Kashmir. AJK is part of whole state of Jammu and Kashmir. Greater part is occupied by India whose liberation would come via UN Security Council resolutions and as per aspirations of the Kashmiris, he said.
He said that his party was also functional in occupied Kashmir. The entire regional situation has assumed such a status that only ideological forces can tackle the outcome.
We all must join heads and hands to reach the goal fixed by the immense sacrifices rendered by the Kashmiris across the Line of Control. Once again in government I would launch a Kashmir issue reawakening drive across the world to seek global persuasion for early settlement of this long pending dispute, threatening world peace, he added.—Email
