Islamabad—Only two days after a petition was filed in the Islamabad High Court against PTI’s Nov 2 ‘Islamabad Lockdown’ plan, another petition was filed in the same court here on Wednesday terming that paralyzing normal life in the city amounts to depriving people of their fundamental rights. ‘A political party has the right of peaceful protest but that right should not be (mis)used to disrupt people’s routine life’, says the petition filed by a citizen Barrister Faisal Khan.
Citing the Secretary Interior, Chief Commissioner Islamabad and Chairman PTI Imran Khan as respondents, the petitioner has submitted that closing down of city as being repeatedly announced by the PTI leadership and paralysing city’s life will adversely affect the life of those living in the federal capital.
