A total of 75 students of the University of Sindh received cheques under Higher Education Commission (HEC) need-based and districts Zakat Ushar scholarships at a ceremony held in the Senate Hall of the university on Monday. The ceremony which organized by the Directorate of Sindh University’s Student Financial Aid (SFA), was presided over by the Vice Chancellor Prof. Dr. Fateh Muhammad who distributed the cheques among the deserving students.
A total number of 42 deserving students both male and female of Bachelor and Master Degree Programmes of 2K14-Batch received the cheques of amounting to Rs. 48000 each under HEC need-based scholarship as 3rd installation. Another batch of 33 students domiciled various districts of the province also received the cheques of Rs. 48000 under district merit scholarship.
The Vice Chancellor Dr. Fateh Muhammad Burfat while speaking on the occasion highlighted various schemes initiated on the campus to facilitate the students including the award of laptops, start of skill development program and other basic facilities to the students of the varsity.—APP
