Islamabad—It seems there is no end to the ordeal of the CDA officers who dared meet a businessman of the federal capital and an emerging politician Faisal Sakhi Butt despite an order by the Islamabad High Court. Faisal Sakhi Butt has served the city in various capacities as chief of the PM Task Force for CDA and Coordinator to Prime Minister.

ITP FM Radio 92.4 celebrates its 3rd anniversary

Islamabad—Police officials of Islamabad Traffic Police (ITP) on Friday cut cake on the eve of 3rd anniversary of FM Radio 92.4, with an aim to make the transmission of this radio more attractive for audience. Acting SSP (Traffic) Mir Vais Niaz, Program Manager Ayesha Jameel, staff of ITP FM Radio 92.4 and other police officials as well as people from various fields of life were also present on the ceremony held to cut cake.

CDGR prepared to deal with flood like situation

Rawalpindi—Executive District Officer (EDO) (Municipal Services) Imtiaz Ahmed Malik said on Friday City District Government Rawalpindi (CDGR) is fully prepared to deal with flood like situation. He visited areas including Jamia Masjid Road, Kurri Road, Pindora, Waris Khan, Nadeem Colony, Javed Colony, Umer road, Dhoke Kahbba, Dhoke Elahi Bukhsh and Arya Mohallah to check the cleanliness arrangements and directed the sanitary staff to perform their duties honestly.

Pakistani German artists’ paintings on display

Islamabad—Hunerkada, College of Visual and Performing Arts here Friday displayed exquisite collection of oil paintings by Pakistani German artist Hanif Abdul. The show entitled ‘Present Existent and Inevitable’ depicts the ideas of the self-taught artist of Pakistani origin, living and working in Frankfurt, Germany. Hanif Abdul’s work reflects a flamboyant style that derives inspiration from Greats such as Kindinsky in its modulation of shapes, use of lines, color, marks and special organization.

More opportunities to masses may minimize migration

EU supports lab management training

Islamabad—A two training workshops two days each, for scientists engaged in testing export and import products to strengthen their capacity on laboratory management has been commenced here on Friday. The ongoing TRTA II programme is funded by the European Union (EU), which aims at strengthening the capacity of Pakistan to participate in international trade. The United Nations Industrial Development Organization (UNIDO) manages the overall programme implementation.

Comfortable public transport for Isoolites on cards

Islamabad —The government will soon be starting an air conditioned comfortable bus service for the residents of federal capital, Minister of State for Interior Imtiaz Safdar Warraich informed National Assembly on Friday. In response to a Calling Attention Notice, the minister said feasibility study for the project has been completed and Asian Development Bank is ready to finance the project. “It will be a comfortable bus service to facilitate the capital residents.

Cash, food items distributed to heirs of martyed personnel

Islamabad—Islamabad Police on Friday distributed cash and other victuals among the families of martyred police personnel, giving the message as never forgetting their brave policemen and providing every possible assistance to their bereaved families. Inspector General of Police Islamabad Bani Amin Khan handed over these goods to the families of martyred personnel here in a ceremony at Police Line Headquarters.
