One killed in SUPARCO bus blast

Karachi—A SUPARCO bus carrying staff become the victim of a target attack resulting death of one persons besides injuries to 18 inmates of the bus today.

According to reports, some explosives installed at a bike at a bus stand near Hub Chowki went off causing death of one and critical injuries to several others, the condition of 3 was critical.

According to Police sources the blast occurred at a bus-station near Hub Chowki causing severe damages to the SUPARCO bus and injuries to several people

However the law enforcing agencies including Police and Rangers rushed to bring the situation under control.

Sources said that the bomb was planted in a motorcycle which was parked nearby the bus station. Early reports said that a 2 to 3 kilogram explosive material was ignited through remote control.

The injured were transferred to hospitals. Those critically injured were removed to Civil Hospital.
