Mastung blast victim succumbs to injuries
One killed, four injured over water channel issue
Chishtian\Quetta—A teenager was killed and four others were injured over a water channel issue near here on Tuesday. Police said a water channel between Chak No 137 Murad and Chak No 138 Murad had been closed for the last two year and a half and people of one village wanted to make it operational while people of the other were against it. The staff of the Dahranwala revenue department, in violation of a stay order granted by court, started to open the water channel with the abetment of police.
The people of both villages including men, women and children got infuriated and started a fight in which clubs, axes and firearms were used freely. As a result, 15-year-old Waqas Akram of Chak 138 Murad received bullet injuries and died on the spot while Hajra Bibi, Sajid Mehmood, Abdul Majid and Asad were seriously injured. Quetta: Mohammad Anwar, 5-year old boy who was hurt in Mastung bomb blast succumbed to injuries in the Combine Military Hospital here Tuesday, official sources said. At least three people were killed and 30 others injured on Monday when a remote- controlled bomb strapped to the motorcycle was detonated in the Daringar area on the Quetta-Taftan National Highway. Mohammad Anwar was among the several other injured under treatment in the CMH. He died after injuries proved fatal to him.` |
