Sympathises with 9-year girl subjected to sexual torture
Elements involved in children’s assault enemies of society: ShahbazSalim Ahmed Lahore—Punjab Chief Minister Muhammad Shahbaz Sharif has said the elements involved in criminal assault on children are the worst enemies of the society and law-enforcing agencies should remain vigilant for bringing them to justice. He expressed these views while offering his sympathies to family members of a 9-year-old girl who was subjected to sexual torture by some perverted elements in village Chand Bharwana, district Jhang. Members Provincial Assembly Iftikhar Khan Baloch, Mehr Khalid Mehmood Sargana, Mehr Sultan Sikandar Bharwana, IG Punjab Haji Habib-ur-Rehman and divisional and district officers were also present on the occasion.

Sandila satisfied over PN vigilance at int’l arenaStaff Reporter Islamabad—Command and Staff Conference 2/2012 of Pakistan Navy was held at Naval Headquarters. Chief of the Naval Staff Admiral Mohammad Asif Sandila chaired the conference, while all Principal Staff Officers at Naval Headquarters and Admin Authorities participated. In the Command and Staff Conference, issues pertaining to security situation, operational preparedness, significant ongoing projects and future plans of Pakistan Navy were discussed.
Child protection campaignMuzaffargarh—On the occasion of World Day Against Child Labour, Save the Children has launched a nationwide Child Protection Campaign in Pakistan. The campaign aims at creating awareness about the protection risks faced by children in the aftermath of natural or man-made disasters. The campaign focuses on three major risks: Child Labor, Child Sexual Abuse and Early Marriages. The campaign includes elements of street theater, radio messaging media task force, and illustrative IEC material. The illustrative material showcases the core messages, concepts developed for the campaign that also forms the basis for the scripts for street theater and radio. |
