World Day Against Child Labour tomorrow

Islamabad—World Day Against Child Labour day will be observed on 12th June across the world including Pakistan to raise awareness and contribute to ending child labour. The theme of this year’s World Day is “Human Rights and Social Justice -let’s end child labour”. Hundreds of millions of girls and boys throughout the world are engaged in work that deprives them of adequate education, health, leisure and basic freedoms, violating their rights.

Okara—Senior vice president of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) Makhdoom Shah Mehmood Qureshi has said that convicted Prime Minister Syed Yousaf Raza Gilani by appointing Rehman Malik as Advisor on Interior had again disrespected the Supreme Court’s decision. In a telephonic chat to Okara Press Club on Sunday, Shah Mehmood Qureshi said that after the SC verdict over dual nationality issue all the parliamentarians should have left their offices but the government to tease the court has adjusted them which reveals that the government don’t bother about the apex court decisions.

Hot and dry weather forecast in most parts of country during next 24 hours

Islamabad—Pakistan Meteorological Department (PMD) has predicted hot and dry weather in most parts of the country during the next two days. The met office said the heat wave has again started griping most parts of the country especially Southern Punjab, Sindh and Balochistan. However during the next few days light rain with high velocity winds was expected in Dera Ghazi Khan and Bannu divisions. Thunderstorm is expected in the evening in Malakand, Hazara, Kashmir, Gilgit, Rawalpindi and Gujranwala divisions. During past 24-hour, Dadu remained hottest city of the country where temperature was recorded at 46C.

Masood enquires about health of bomb blast injured

Peshawar—Governor Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Barrister Masood Kausar Sunday said terrorism has been a great challenge for the nation during his visit to Lady Reading Hospital on Sunday. He enquired after the health of the bus bomb blast victims in which a number of precious lives were lost and leaving many injured.
