Sacrifices of Kashmiri martyrs not to go waste

Srinagar—In occupied Kashmir, complete shutdown will be observed, today, to mark the commencement of Martyrs Week in memory of all Kashmiri martyrs including those over 120 innocent youth who fell to the bullets of Indian troops and police personnel during the mass uprising in the territory in 2010.

Kashmiris’ sacrifices centre-stage Kashmir dispute: JKPM

Jammu—The Jammu and Kashmir Peoples Movement (JKPM), a constituent of the All Parties Hurriyet Conference (APHC), has said that the supreme sacrifices of Kashmiri martyrs have centre-staged the Kashmir dispute at the global level. APHC leader and the JKPM Chairman, Ghulam Ahmed Mir, speaking at a function organised by his party in Rajouri paid glowing tributes to the 122 Kashmiri youth martyred by Indian troops and police personnel during the peaceful uprising of 2010.

Captain (Retd) Sarfraz Khan laid to rest

Mirpur—Renowned Ka shmiri politician, front-line leader of PML (N) AJK branch and a seasoned parliamentarian of Azad Jammu & Kashmir, Captain (Retd) Muhammad Sarfraz Khan was here Sunday laid to rest in his local ancestral graveyard of Saien Ruken Deen in presence of thousands of mourners. The 85-year-old Captain (Retd) Sarfraz Khan, a former minister of AJK government in Muslim Conference regime, had died of cancer in United Kingdom hospital on Friday after prolonged illness.He was considered to be a significant icon in the political horizon of AJK.

Custodial killings go unchecked in occupied Kashmir

THE endless custodial killings and human rights violations in occupied Kashmir have been raised time and again by the international community and human rights organizations like Amnesty International and Human Rights Watch, but all those pleas have fallen on deaf ears, as no practical step has ever been taken by India to stop these abuses and the hollow claims of Indian Prime Minister Manmohan Singh about ‘zero tolerance’ seem a far cry.

Mirwaiz pays tributes to martyrs of 2010 uprising

Srinagar—In occupied Kashmir, the Chairman of All Parties Hurriyet Conference, Mirwaiz Umar Farooq has paid glowing tributes to the youth who were killed by Indian troops and police personnel during 2010 uprising in the territory. The APHC Chairman in a media interview in Srinagar said that despite peaceful path followed by the people of Kashmir to secure their inalienable right to self-determination, New Delhi was brutally attempting to suppress their struggle by murdering the youth.
