
Construction work of Orangi Cottage Industry revivedStaff Reporter
Karachi—Construction work of Orangi Town Cottage Industry has been revived to provide job opportunities to youth through the establishment of small local industrial units.
This was stated by KMC Administrator Muhammad Hussain Syed on detailed visit of the site of Orangi Town Cottage Industry. He was accompanied by Director General Technical Services Altaf G. Memon, D.G Parks Niaz Ahmed Soomro, Project Director Amir Ahmed Bhatti, D.G Mass Transit Rasheed Mughal, concerned engineers and high officials. Administrator Karachi said the financial problem would be solved with the availability of employment to people and this would lead to better law and order conditions. Establishment of Cottage Industry would provide livelihood to thousands of youth. The owners were being given immediate possession of their plots in Orangi Town Cottage Industry to ensure speedy work. He said besides creating job opportunities in city it was necessary to promote the local talent and skills so that the small and household industry could flourish. |
