India should stop terrorism in IHK: Fazl

Islamabad—Chairman of the Special Committe of the Parliament on Kashmir Fazlur Rahman has urged India to stop state terrorism in the Occupied Kashmir. He also appreciated the recent report of the Amnesty International in which the premier human rights organization has called upon India to revoke the draconian laws, such as Armed Forces Special Powers (AFSPA) Act and Public Safety Act, stop atrocities on Kashmiries, allow the human rights activists to visit the Occupied Kashmir and to implement the assurances on human rights given to the UN Human Rights Council.

Srinagar—Chairman of Hurriyat Conference (M), Mirwaiz Umar Farooq has urged Iran to use its good offices to press for the resolution of Kashmir issue. “Iran has an important role in the Islamic world. It can also play its role in the resolution of Kashmir. Iran has very warm and cordial relations with India as well as Pakistan. I appeal the religious as well as political leadership of Iran to use their influence in the settlement of Kashmir issue,” Mirwaiz said at the function organized to pay tributes to Imam Khumani

Resolution of dispute is vital to peace in the region

Srinagar—In Occupied Kashmir, the APHC leader and Jammu and Kashmir Salvation Movement Chairman, Zafar Akbar Butt has paid rich tributes to Tufail Ahmad Mattoo, Zahid Farooq, Wamiq Farooq and other Kashmiri martyrs who were killed by men in uniform during 2008-2010 mass uprisings. Zafar Akbar Butt addressing a function in connection with martyrs’ month held at APHC office in Srinagar said the unresolved Kashmir is the major stumbling block in establishing cordial relationship between the two neighbouring countries. And the lingering dispute should be settled according to the aspirations of the Kashmiri people.

India trying to divide Muslims in IOK: Geelani 2000 crimes against women in one-year

Srinagar—The veteran Kashmiri Hurriyet leader, Syed Ali Gilani has said that India is trying to divide the Muslims in occupied Kashmir by pitching them against each other on sectarian and ideological lines. Syed Ali Gilani, addressing condolence meetings in different areas of Baramulla, maintained that Indian secret agencies were conspiring to stroke hatred and group clashes to deflect people’s attention from the real goal of freedom movement. He appealed the people of the territory to stand firm to foil such nefarious designs.

Pertinently, the first ever train had entered the state through this track years before the partition of the sub-continent.
