
Four vehicles impounded over non-completion of routes
Islamabad—Secretary Islamabad Transport Authority, Khwaja Maqbool Mustafa on Monday impounded four public service vehicles for not completing the designated routes and over charging the commuters.
Taking strict action on the complaints of commuters, he conducted surprise traffic checking on various routes including route No. 127, 121, 120, 24 and impounded four public service vehicles besides imposing fine amounting Rs.19000 on the transporters for over charging and not completing the routes. He issued warning to the transporters to complete routes and charge fixed fares failing which stern action would be taken which may lead to cancellation or suspension of route permits.—APP |
