All set to hold three-day anti-polio campaign in 11 districts 3.8m KP, FATA children to get OPV from today

Peshawar—All is set to launch a three-day National Immunisation Campaign (NICs) in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and Federally Administered Tribal Areas (FATA) on Monday, wherein 3.8 million children under five years of age would be administered Oral Polio Vaccine (OPV) to wipe out the crippling disease from the country. Deputy Director, Expended Programme for Immunization (EPI), Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Dr Jan Baz Afridi told reporters on Sun-day the government has completed all arrangements for successful holding of a three-day anti-polio campaign in 11 districts of Khyber Pakthunkhwa and FATA including Afghan refugees’ camps from Monday (June 4-6) to protect children from the preventable disease.

All resources being utilized to end loadshedding: Kaira

Lalamusa—Federal Minister for Information and Broadcasting Ch Qamar Zaman Kaira reiterated that unscheduled loadshedding would soon end in the country and for this purpose all available resources being utilized. Addressing a big gathering after performing sui gas supply schemes in Mauza Khawajgan, Shah Jehanian, Azam Nagar and Mauza Thekrian, he said that despite anger by the world powers, the government inked gas pipeline agreement with Iran while talk on electricity was in progress with Iran.

Opp budget session’s behaviour spoiled democratic norms: Kundi

D.I.Khan—Deputy Speaker National Assembly, Faisal Kareem Kundi has asked the MNAs from Opposition that what message they had given to the world by exhibiting unconstitutional and immoral behavior during the Budget Session of National As-sembly. He said the Opposition has set a precedence of undemocratic conduct during the proceedings of National Assembly which has marred the beauty of democratic norms in the country.

Attock—PTI Leader Former State Minister Malik Amin Aslam has said that those having principles and want to bring a real and positive change are joining PTI, which will certainly strengthen this party. He said this while addressing a gathering here at Attock where Mutahida, Mehnat Kash Mahaz (MMM) Attock Chairman Rana Liaquat, Former City Nazim Rana Shaukat, Rana Naseeb Khan and their other family members announced to join PTI. Malik Amin Aslam said that the present opportunist politicians had made the future of the youth dark. He said that only PTI could bring a change. He said corruption was prevailing everywhere. Malik Amin said that PTI in Attock will further become strengthened after the joining of Rana Family.

Balochistan problem being addressed democratically

Islamabad—Federal Minister for Sci-ence and Technology Mir Chengez Jamali has said that the Balochistan problem was being addressed democratically while consultation with all the stakeholders is in progress. In an interview on the eve of the Prime Minister Syed Yu-suf Raza Gilani’s visit to Balochistan‚ he said that initially concrete steps would be made to bring peace in Quetta city and later it would be expanded throughout the province.
