Conspiracy for division of Sindh has come to fore: Shahbaz

Lahore—Punjab Chief Minister Muhammad Shahbaz Sharif has said that he has never demanded to make Karachi a province and there was a mischief behind this proposal which he exposed and now a conspiracy for the division of Sindh has come to the fore. He said that there is no room for the creation of a new province in Sindh and some elements are only showing their hypocritical attitude in this regard. He said that there is no secret as to who is behind the wall-chalking in Karachi.

Lahore—Lahore Waste Management Company (LWMC), student members of Youth Environment Society (YES) and Caritas Pakistan Lahore joined hands to impart awareness about safe treatment and disposal of waste among school students. In regard with upcoming World Environment Day , LWMC, Caritas Pakistan and YES from PU conducted awareness activities and special lectures and demonstration sessions in Ibne-Basharat-e-Maryam School, Saint John’s Boys High School, Saint Dominics High School, Saint Francis Xavier High School, Community Education School, Dar-ul-Hikmat and Dean Public High School in Yohana Abad, UC-142 .

Power cuts: Punjab govt sets up Camp Office at Minar-e-Pakistan

Lahore—The Government of Punjab Friday shifted its Camp Office at Minar-e-Pakistan to express solidarity with public against the chronic power outages. Punjab Chief Minister Shahbaz Sharif said how he could relax when people had been deprived of their sleep due to unending electricity outages. He said the government has set up its Camp Office under the Minar-e-Pakistan to show solidarity with public suffering from long load-shedding hours. No generator of UPS was installed at the camp office.

LHC allows APML to hold meeting

Lahore—The Lahore High Court on Friday allowed All Pakistan Muslim League to hold a public meeting at Yuhana Abad, Ferozepur Road here. However, the court linked the permission with condition of holding public meeting within boundary wall. Justice Rauf Ahmad Sheikh passed the orders on a petition filed by Hafiz Ghulam Mohiuddin, a leader of the APML.

The microwave door and refrigerator handle are among the dirtiest places in a typical office, according to a new study from commercial products company Kimberly-Clark Professional. Researchers swabbed nearly 5,000 surfaces in office buildings that house about 3,000 employees, including law firms, insurance companies, call centers, and manufacturing facilities. “It’s a very specific examination of what places are most problematic,” says Jack Brown, a professor of molecular biosciences at the University of Kansas at Lawrence, who was not involved in the study.
