Eidgah Chalo call Hurriyet leaders put under house arrestSrinagar—In occupied Kashmir, the Chairman of All Parties Hurriyet Conference, Mirwaiz Umar Farooq has given Eidgah Chalo call on Monday to mark the martyrdom anniversaries of Mirwaiz Maulvi Muhammad Farooq, Khawaja Abdul Ghani Lone and the martyrs of Hawal. The Mirwaiz made the announcement in Srinagar, today, saying complete strike will also be observed on the day. Shabbir Ahmad Shah, who is under house arrest in Srinagar, in a statement said that the Kashmir dispute had become a focal point in the world due to the sacrifices of Kashmiri martyrs. He said that it was the result of such sacrifices that the UN Secretary General, Ban Ki-moon during his visit to India had told the Indian rulers that resolution of Kashmir dispute was inevitable for regional peace. |
