Eidgah Chalo call Hurriyet leaders put under house arrest
Srinagar—In occupied Kashmir, the Chairman of All Parties Hurriyet Conference, Mirwaiz Umar Farooq has given Eidgah Chalo call on Monday to mark the martyrdom anniversaries of Mirwaiz Maulvi Muhammad Farooq, Khawaja Abdul Ghani Lone and the martyrs of Hawal.
The Mirwaiz made the announcement in Srinagar, today, saying complete strike will also be observed on the day. It was on 21st May 1990, when unidentified gunmen martyred Mirwaiz Moulvi Muhammad Farooq at his residence in Srinagar.
Zafar Butt with party activists arrested in IHK
srinagar—In occupied Kashmir, the APHC leader and the Chairman of Jammu and Kashmir Salvation Movement, Zafar Akbar Butt was arrested along with several party activists by Indian police when he was on his way to Charare Sharief shrine to address a public meeting. He was detained in Channapora police station, Srinagar.

UK HR watchdog to take up Kashmir situation at UN body
London—The London-based Islamic Human Rights Commission has decided to take up the human rights situation in occupied Kashmir at the UN Human Rights Council. The decision was taken during a meeting between the Executive Director of Kashmir Centre London, Professor Nazir Ahmed Shawl with the Chairman of Islamic Human Rights Commission, Massod Sharjedh at the human rights watchdog office in the city. The President of Advisory Council, Raja Mohammed Ayub, was also present in the meeting.

Srinagar—In occupied Kashmir, senior leader of All Parties Hurriyet Conference (APHC), Shabbir Ahmad Shah has said that the sacrifices of Kashmiri martyrs including Mirwaiz Moulvi Muhammad Farooq and Khawaja Abdul Ghani Lone have projected the Kashmir dispute at international level. Shabbir Ahmad Shah, who is under house arrest in Srinagar, in a statement said that the Kashmir dispute had become a focal point in the world due to the sacrifices of Kashmiri martyrs. He said that it was the result of such sacrifices that the UN Secretary General, Ban Ki-moon during his visit to India had told the Indian rulers that resolution of Kashmir dispute was inevitable for regional peace.
