NADRA completes final electoral rolls of KPKStaff Reporter Islamabad—Justice (Retd) Shahzad Akbar Khan, Member Election Commission from Khyber Pukhtunkhawa (KPK) visited NADRA headquarters to inspect the final electoral rolls before publication. He was accompanied by Provincial Election Commissioner Tanveer Zia Butt. Justice (Retd) Shazad Akbar Khan praised the due diligence efforts of all the District Election Commissioners (DECs) who not only compiled all change requests submitted by residents of Khyber Pukhtunkhawa, but also monitored and evaluated NADRA’s processes of scanning and data entry during their four-day of stay in NADRA.
Governor enquires about health of Bajaur blast victimsStaff Reporter Peshawar—The Governor Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Barrister Masood Kausar here on Saturday enquired after health of the victims of Bajaur Agency suicide blast at Lady Reading Hospital. During his visit the governor went to each and every injured and presented cash assistance and gifts.
Talking to media men on the occasion the Governor said that now when the situation has been normalized and the schools and health institutions were fully functional in the agency; the occurrence of such a tragic incident is indeed shocking.
Bar Associations hold Gilani as constitutional PM
Oppose appointment of ad-hoc judges in SCLahore—Bar leaders from across the country have held Prime Minister Yusuf Raza Gilani as constitutional Chief Executive and his decisions as legal. This was the consensus of Bar Associations from all over the country at a meeting here at the Lahore High Court held under Pakistan Bar Council Vice Chairman Akhtar Hussain on Saturday. The meeting was attended by President of SCBA Yasin Azad, Justice Rtd Tariq Mahmood, Asma Jehangir, Shehram Sarwar, Behran Moazzam, Latif Khan Afridi, Chaudhry Hafeezur Rehman, Mohammad Ahsan Bhoon, Mian Israrul Haq, Azam Nazeer Tarar and several others.Hot weather forecastIslamabad—Local Met office has forecast hot and dry weather for the city and its suburbs during the next 24 hours. On Saturday, maximum and minimum temperatures were recorded as 42.2 and 25.8 Celsius, respectively. Humidity was recorded as 41 per cent at 8am and 14 per cent at 5pm.
