The delegation is here on a three-day visit to see the archeological sites of Gandhara civilization in different parts of the province.
PML-N supports convicted PM by boycotting NA sessionOur Correspondent Okara—Ameer Jamaat-e-Islami (JI) Syed Munawar Hasan on Monday said that PML-N boycotted the National Assembly session for giving easy passage to Prime Minister Yusuf Raza Gilani to address the session, hereby indirectly supporting the government policies. Talking to media persons of Okara press club on telephone, he said that PML-N was supporting the government over the issue of conviction of Prime Minister Syed Yusuf Raza Gilnai by the Supreme Court by boycotting the National Assembly session as opposition leader Chaudhry Nisar Ali Khan had announced not letting the premier enter the assembly and backed out later.

CMs urged to enact law on access to informationStaff Reporter Islamabad—Press Council of Pakistan (PCP) on Monday urged the government of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and Punjab, to enact law of access to information in the provinces, enabling the public to know about the affairs of the government departments. This was stated by Chairman, Press Council of Pakistan, Raja Shafqat Abbasi, former Judge of Lahore High Court in a letter to the Minister for Information & Public Relations, Government of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Peshawar and Chief Minister and Minister Incharge (Information, Culture & Youth Affairs Department), Government of the Punjab, Lahore regarding “law of access to information in the country”.
