Polio vaccine case
LHC issues notices to Punjab GovtStaff Reporter Lahore— The Lahore High Court on Monday issued notices to the Punjab government for May 24 on a petition pleading to declare that oral polio vaccine (OPV) was not properly provided to children, according to international standards and directions for a judicial inquiry against responsible authorities. Justice Umar Ata Bandial issued notices on a petition filed by petitioner-counsel Rana Ijaz Ahmad impleading the Punjab government, DG Health Punjab, DCO Lahore, EDO Health, Director EPI and others.
Four uplift schemes worth Rs 1773.033m approvedStaff Reporter Lahore—The Punjab Government has approved Four uplift Schemes with an estimated total cost of Rs. 1773.033 million. The approval was given in the 38th meeting of the Provincial Development working Party presided over by Planning and Development Board Chairman, Javaid Aslam.

PU Registrar Prof Dr Khan Raas Masood, Director External Linkages Maria I Maldonado, faculty members and journalist from German media including Dr Erentraud Homberg, Dr Manfred Hettlage, Ron Giger, Kurt Seinitz and Andreas Gromoll attended the meeting.
