Dr. Fai welcomes Ban’s statement on Kashmir dispute

Islamabad—The Executive Director of Kashmiri American Council, Dr. Ghulam Nabi Fai, has applauded the United Nations Secretary General, Ban Ki-Moon’s spotlight on Kashmir. Dr. Fai said they would like to express profound gratitude to the Secretary General by proposing support for peaceful method to resolve the dispute over Jammu and Kashmir. In doing so, the Secretary General as the custodian of human rights is undoubtedly championing the cause of right and justice,Kashmir Media Service reported.

Majeed pays tributes to Pak Army martyrs

Cops crack down on ‘anti-India’ network

Srinagar—Jammu and Kashmir police have launched a major crackdown against social networking users who express anti-India sentiments in the state. Around 35 administrators of Facebook pages have been identified by the police and several were summoned to police stations and questioned.“We are looking at people who express certain kind of sentiment on the Internet, which can cause disturbances.

Shabbir arrested in Jammu, sent back to Srinagar

Islamabad—The Indian police in occupied Kashmir arrested senior leader of the All Parties Hurriyet Conference, Shabbir Ahmed Shah, in Jammu and forcibly sent him back to Srinagar. Shabbir Ahmed Shah, who was in Jammu in connection with his mass contact campaign, was scheduled to address a press conference in Jammu,Kashmir Media Service (KMS) reported.
