Islamabad—Passengers are facing problems due to
lack of facilities at various bus stops of the
Federal Capital. Hundreds of passengers who
visit Pirwadhai, Karachi Company and Faizabad
almost every day, but there is no proper waiting
rooms or any other facility at these stops. Most
of the passengers, particularly females, are
facing this problem and continue to complain
about the non-existence of any facility.
Rawalpindi—One
thousand two hundred and thirty-eight educators
have assumed their responsibilities here in
Rawalpindi on Tuesday. According to details,
appointment letters have been issued to 1238
educators and they have been appointed in
different girls and boys schools in Rawalpindi.
All appointments have been made on merit.
Islamabad—The Federal Minister for Information &
Broadcasting, Mr. Qamar Zaman Kaira has said
that by amending the National Command Authority
(NCA) Ordinance, President of Pakistan Asif Ali
Zardari has taken another important step forward
to implement Charter of Democracy (CoD) in its
letter and spirit. According to the Ordinance,
the President has delegated decision-making
powers of NCA to the Prime Minister.
Islamabad—Up to 100
Youth Activity Centres would be established at
district level across the country with the
assistance of United Nations Population
Fund,(UNFPA), Federal Minister for Youth Affairs
Shahid Hussain Bhutto said on Monday. Ministry
of Youth Affairs and UNFPA plan to sign a
Memorandum of Understanding in this connection,
under which UNFPA will provide technical and
financial assistance in establishing 100 Youth
Activity centres.
Islamabad—Albert Gerard (Bert) Koenders,
Dutch Minister for Development Cooperation along
with Ambassador and Director General Foreign
Affairs of Pakistan for Europeans Countries
called on Chief Justice of Pakistan Justice
Iftikhar Muhammad Chaudhry in his Chambers in
Supreme Court Building on Tuesday.
