Police martyrs families to get houses: Shahbaz

Lahore—Punjab government will provide houses to the families of martyred policemen who have no suitable accommodation of their own, besides bearing the education expenses of their wards. Punjab Chief Minister Muhammad Shahbaz Sharif made this announcement while addressing a function arranged for presenting gifts to the families of police martyrs at Qila Gujar Singh Police Lines here on Monday.

Lahore—After getting free from sacrificial activities, hundreds of thousands of citizens thronged the city parks and other resorts on the last day of Eidul Azha here Monday. SWM lifts 31,000 tons animal offals

Lahore—The staff of Solid Waste Management (SWM) lifted 31,000 ton animal offals and waste from various parts of the provincial capital and buried it in six dumping sites during the three days of Eidul Azha. According to a spokesman of district government, Commissioner Lahore Division Khusru Pervez Khan and DCO Lahore Sajjad Ahmed Bhutta visited various areas of the walled city and towns and expressed satisfaction over the sanitary condition.
