Vehari—Alleged drug traffickers and their
family members attacked a police party with
hatchets and clubs leaving two ASIs and a
constable injured after police reached their
home to arrest them at Machiwal. However, police
succeeded in arresting six accused including

filing complaints and protection of their

University of Sindh announced the names of top
position holders in different faculties of the
university. According to the announcement,
Mariyam Memon and Sadia Talpur have secured top
position in BS Mathematics and M.Sc. Botany,
respectively, in faculty of Natural Sciences.
Islamabad—AIDS has
killed 25 million people worldwide but new
infections are slowing sharply, said an annual
report on Tuesday the crisis that mixed hope

a report by UN,lmost 60 million people have been
infected by the HIV virus since it was first
recorded but prevention programmes are having a
significant impact, UNAIDS agency said in its
latest report, released here in Shanghai.
