Security arrangements beefed up

Lahore—Capital City Police Officer (CCPO), Muhammad Pervez Rathore has said that on the occasion of Eid-ul-Azha, security arrangements have been further beefed up and patrolling has been intensified in the city, besides deployment of additional force around important government buildings, foreign offices, trade centres, bus and wagon stands.

Eid prayers at 500 places in Lahore

Lahore—Eid-ul-Azha will be celebrated on Saturday and Sunday across the country with religious fervour and renewed pledge to work for national solidarity, integrity and prosperity of the country. Smoking,snuff linked to cancer

Lahore—Necessary measures must be adopted to discourage smoking and the use of narcotic drug like ‘Niswar’ as these steps can reduce cancers’ incidence markedly. This was stated by Dr. Sher Muhammad Khan,chairman Red Crescent Society NWFP chapter,while addressing a seminar “Preventive measures against diseases and natural disasters” here on Thursday.
