Islamabad—Authorities of Twin Cities were of
the view that cleanliness plan to be implemented
strictly to avoid nuisance.The Capital
Development Authority (CDA) has vowed for prompt
removal of offal, entrails and carcasses of
sacrificial animals on Eid-ul- Azha. As per
direction of the Chairman CDA Imtiaz Inayat
Elahi, the Eid Holidays of entire sanitation
staff have been canceled to keep the city neat
and clean during the Eid holidays.
Islamabad—The people settled in Capital from
across the country, left for their hometowns to
celebrate Eid and the federal capital’s roads
are becoming deserted and desolate. People from
different walks of life are proceeding to their
home towns to celebrate Eid with their near and
dear ones as ‘all roads lead to home these
days’.
Islamabad—Lack of adequate slaughter houses for
sacrificing the animal, as well as the disposing
off the related waste material are the major
problems faced every year. Most of the families
drain off the sacrificial animals blood into the
common drainage which may clog the entire
drainage system. Moreover, according to experts
the waste of the animal left in the open for
days may turn these areas into breeding ground
for epidemic outbreak.
Islamabad—Representatives of various civil
society organizations have urged to notify rules
and guidelines of ‘Protection of breastfeeding
and young child nutrition ordinance 2002’.
According to them, the delay in framing the
rules has created issues related to
non-compliance of the ordinance which was
promulgated in 2002 however its guidelines and
rues are yet to be approved.
Islamabad—With Eid-ul-Azha just
approaching, various religious organizations,
foundations and welfare trusts have intensified
their campaign to collect the maximum number of
animal skins and hides in the twin cities of
Rawalpindi and Islamabad. They have displayed
