People voted PPP into power: CM

Karachi—Sindh Chief Minister Syed Qaim Ali Shah has said that Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) has come into power as a result of peoples’ votes and it will serve them as promised by Shaheed Mohtarma Benazir Bhutto. The government of Pakistan Peoples Party will fulfill all the promises made by the late chairperson during her campaign, he said while addressing a big public meeting on the 43rd foundation day of PPP at Peoples Chowrangi near the mausoleum of Quaid-e-Azam Mohammad Ali Jinnah here Wednesday afternoon.

Extortionists warned

Karachi—Nazim Gulshan-e-Iqbal Town, Wasey Jalil has appealed to people to beware of certain mischievious elements who are recovering “bhatta” in the name of Quaid-e-Tehreek Altaf Hussain. He asked people to remain alert from such elements and inform about such persons at Town’s complaint center No 99230355-9 for action.He said that reports were received that certain people were extorting money by duping or threatening the people and recovering money for construction of check-posts against Taliban and for fund for interned workers.
