Karachi—Sindh Home Minister Dr. Zulfiqar Mirza
Thursday said that Chief Justice of Pakistan has
been requested to take suo , motu action on the
NRO cases. Addressing a press conference with
Sindh Chief Minister here, Dr. Mirza said, “Our
ally is playing the role of a tool for the
establishment.”
Islamabad—Prime Minister Syed Yousuf Raza Gilani
said on Thursday that Balochistan leadership was
onboard of the socio-economic uplift package of
the province announced by the government.
Riyadh—The Mufti-e-Azam Saudi Arab, Sheikh
Abdul Aziz, in his Hajj sermon urged the Muslims
of the world to forge unity among their ranks,
saying that unity among the Muslims is the need
of time. Grand Mufti delivered Hajj sermon in
Masjid Nimra at Arafat. Mufti-e-Azam stressed on
respecting and helping each other and being kind
to one another as Islam is a religion of
compassion and respect.
Peshawar—The provincial metropolis Peshawar had
hardly seen a few days of peace when it was
rocked again Thursday as a remote controlled
bomb blew near busy Charsadda road early morning
which left as many as three people including a
SHO seriously injured.
Islamabad—Deliberations are underway with US
authorities to seek arrangement for targeted
subsidies so that the lifeline electric power
consumers could not be impacted by any
inordinate rise in tariff, a senior official

Tank—On the basis of
intelligence report, the security forces carried
out an operation in district Tank and have
arrested wanted terrorist commander Abdullah
Shah Mehsud. The terrorist commander involved in
various crimes had head money of Rs. 10 million,
said ISPR in a statement issued here on
Thursday.
