Peshawar—NWFP Chief Minister Ameer Haider Khan
Hoti has approved the establishment of emergency
response services’ institute for lessening loss
to property and life during terrorist incidents
and has directed for the preparation of PC-1 and
completion of other arrangements as soon as
possible in this regard in order that the rescue
institute should start functioning within the
time frame of five months.
Karachi—Rear
Admiral Tanveer Faiz, with immediate effect, has
taken over as Commander Pakistan Fleet whereas
Rear Admiral Asif Sandila has assumed the
Logistics Command of Pakistan Navy. According to
an ISPR press release issued on Wednesday Fleet
Commander, Rear Admiral Tanveer Faiz would
exercise full operational and administrative
control over all Fleet Units comprising
destroyers, submarines, missile boats and Naval
Air Arm besides other supporting establishments.
Sialkot—Punjab government has released a special
grant of Rs. 830 million for the early
construction of new buildings of Sialkot
district’s as many as five police stations
(namely Head Marala police station, Rangpura
police stations, Civil Line police station,
Badiana police station and Satrah police
station) by demolishing their prolonged
dangerous declared ancient buildings.
