Operation Rah-e-Nijat
Terrorists network dismantled

Islamabad—Director General ISPR, Major General Athar Abbas has said that Pakistan army has dismantled the network of the terrorists and militants are on the run.

In an interview with official TV Channel, Major Gen. Athar Abbas said that Pakistan army has secured important places which were earlier occupied by militants.

Replying to a question, Athar Abbas said that no timeframe can be given for the operation Rah-e-Nijat.

He said that people have identified the real face of the terrorists and their so called agenda which the terrorists want to impose on people by force.

Major Gen. Athar Abbas vowed that Pakistan army is ready to wipe out terrorists at any cost. He added that army has caused much loss to militants and now they are on the run. He said that Pakistan army has also disconnected the communication network of terrorists.

While replying to a question he said that militants have modern and heavy weapons, however, they have been disconnected from their centre and security forces have full control on all important places.

He added that terrorists used to manipulate youngsters in the name of religion.

In response to another question, Athar Abbas said that foreign elements are also involved in creating unrest in South Waziristan.

Similarly, he said that army is fully capable to tackle with terrorists and it has always given priority to safeguard the national interests.—Online
