Islamabad—President Asif Ali Zardari has asked Prime Minister Yousuf Raza Gilani to review the NRO beneficiaries list and remove all discrepancies in it and remove the names of all those who have been wrongly implicated in the list.

Islamabad—Pakistan on Monday formally joined the international community of fighter aircraft manufacturers as JF 17 Thunder, the first ever multi role state-of-the-art fighter aircraft rolled out of Pakistan Aeronautical Complex at a ceremony at Kamra on Monday and was included in the fleet of Pakistan Air Force.

THE atmosphere was charged, the onlookers held their breath and suddenly the silence was shattered by a crescendo of “Allah-o-Akbar” as the first JF-17 Thunder produced in Pakistan Aeronautical Complex Kamra rolled out, marking a historical moment of Pakistan joining the august club of nations, which are capable of designing and producing their own fighter aircraft.

Islamabad—Prime Minister Syed Yusuf Raza Gilani Monday urged the media to give due attention to highlight thousands of other beneficiaries of National Reconciliation Ordinance (NRO) as well in addition to the politicians, who are just 34 in the list. Talking to newsmen here at Pakistan Aeronautical Complex, Kamra, after attending the ceremony of induction of first JF 17 Thunder in PAF fleet, the Prime Minister said out of 8,041 NRO beneficiaries there are only 34 politicians.

PML-N asks Zardari to decide own fate

Lahore—Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz on Monday urged President Asif Ali Zardari to decide his fate at his own after the inclusion of his name in the list of NRO beneficiaries. A meeting of the PML-N top leadership was held here on Monday which apart from discussing country’s political situation also discussed re-organisational affairs of the party. Situation arising out after release of list of NRO beneficiaries was also discussed in detail.
