Argentine ambassador hosts reception

THE ambassador of Argentine Rodolfo Martin-Saravia hosted a reception on Sunday at the embassy in honor of the Pakistan National Hockey Team, on the occasion to their visit to Argentina to participate in Champions Challenge Tournament. Pakistan and Argentina signed MOU on sports cooperation in 2006 and this diplomatic evening was inspired in the framework of this bilateral understanding. The event was attended by several politicians, senior diplomats and sports enthusiasts in Islamabad. Pakistan Hockey Federation President Qasim Zia and PHF Secretary Asif Bajwa also attended the reception.

CDA unveils plan for offal removal

Islamabad—The Capital Development Authority (CDA) has prepared an action plan for prompt removal of offal, entrails and carcasses of sacrificial animals on the eve of Eid-ul- Azha. As per direction of the Chairman CDA Imtiaz Inayat Elahi, the Eid Holidays of entire sanitation staff have been canceled to keep the city neat and clean during the Eid holidays.
